Simone Biles
Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born March 14, 1997, in Columbus Ohio U.S.A. In the 2016 Olympics at Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals in the same Games and was also the first gymnast to win three consecutive World All-around championships (2013-15). Biles as well as her siblings Adria and Ronald Biles were adopted as young children by grandparents from Houston. Simone was first drawn to gymnastics while she was just six. Coach Aimee Borman took her to Bannon's Gymnastix and they took them to a field trip. Biles has won the gold and bronze medals in the women's Junior Olympic National Championships 2010 in vault and floor exercise prior to her first appearance in 2011 at the top division of the competition. A year later, Biles dominated the sport. What set Biles apart was her consistency her flamboyant attitude and the extreme level of challenge she integrated into her workout routines for every event - vault, uneven bars balance beam and floor exercise.
